Chakana Magic

The "Chakana"
An ancient symbol of the Earth
And of my people
Bringing everything into One.


The Chakana is the Inca Cross.
It is an important symbol in the Andean Cultures.
At this time the serpent energy of the Earth has moved into the Andes Mountain Range in South America, there is a great awakening happening on all levels. It is my belief that the horses are working with us to help with this great awakening.It is my belief that with the horses' help we can learn to see the world differently and find our happiness. There is no greater feeling or sacredness, of god, than on the back of our magnificent friend the horse. With him we become more than a mere human, we become a centaur, we become 'one with', a truly magical being of nature.
I believe that at this time we are being called to join in this new vision of life, to join with other humans and other species on this Earth so that we may have a wonderful future ahead of us. In the spirit of communion and connection. of 'Oneness'
I have used the chakana as one of the symbols for this new period in my life as it represents the elements of the sky (the condor)the earth(the puma) and the underworld (the serpent) and in its centre the cirle representing the circle of life and the whole. This symbol is relevant to me at this time as I was born in Chile and many of my ancestors come from the Andes mountain range.
I am very excited to explore the chakana in relation to my painting, my work with the horses, my work as a woman and mother.
